Greetings from LCCL Secretariat,
The LCCL EXECUTIVE had a MEETING on 26-27 AUGUST 2020 by ZOOM
During the meeting Executive Members shared their vision for the Executive Committee and for their respective portfolios and reported on their engagement with their portfolios.

  1. 2020 SUBSCRIPTIONS:
    The Executive would like to remind conference members to pay 2020 subscriptions to help with administration and running costs of LCCL Office.
  2. TAX DESK AT SACBC
    For your information, a tax desk has been established at the SACBC. This is a free service whose aim is to ensure legal compliance for Public Benefit Organisations (PBOs) with South African Tax laws. The SACBC Tax Desk is recommending that each organisation undertakes an immediate review of their tax status including:
    ● PBO registration;
    ● Constitution which will be linked to their PBO status; and
    ● Tax compliance history.
    It is important to remember that all our Institutions/Organisations must submit income tax return forms to SARS/ TEU each year for Tax Compliance.
    All enquiries/submissions to the SACBC Tax Desk should be in writing and sent to SACBC Tax desk sacbctaxdesk@sacbc.org.za
  3. LCCL WHATSAPP GROUP
    The Executive would like to open a Whatsapp Group for faster communication amongst all members. If you have WhatsApp number and would like to join LCCLSA WhatsApp Group, please write a Whatsapp message to 063 797 2301
  4. TRAINING TO BE FACILITATORS:
    The Executive took a resolution that there is a need to train future facilitators in the conference. If you know any members of your congregation who would like to be trained as facilitators or are interested in facilitation, please do not hesitate to contact LCCL Office by 28 September 2020. More details about the training will be communicated in due course.
  5. 2021 NATIONAL JOINT WITNESS
    The date for the Joint Witness Meeting will be from 6-9 September 2021. More details about the meeting will communicated to you in due course.
  6. LCCL AGM 2021
    As Joint Witness next year will be in September, there are implications for our AGM. Consultations with conference members were thus undertaken for the AGM. From the consultations, most congregations agreed for March 2021. We will inform you the dates for LCCL AGM 2021 after our next Executive Meeting.
  7. DATABASE on COVID 19 Counselling
    LCCL office have a list of available counsellors and places for quiet reflection. The resource list will be sent to you soon.
  8. COVID 19 Stats
    Please continue sending COVID 19 Stats to LCCL office on monthly basis.
  9. COVID 19 Training with CATHCA
    As soon as our meeting with CATHCA is scheduled, you can include the outcome there in to keep them informed.
